Codie Booth

I am Codie Booth (she/her/hers) and am thankful to live, work and play in the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples, now known as the Highlands, BC. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Rehabilitation Professional. I offer individual counselling for a wide range of issues such as addiction (substance and process/behavioural), disordered eating/body image, chronic stress/burnout, anxiety, depression, relationships, education/employment, work/life balance, disability management and vocational rehabilitation.
I have an eclectic approach to counselling which uses a combination of Eye Movement Desensitization and Repressing (EMDR), somatic, humanistic, mindful self-compassion, feminist, solution-focused, client-centred, and dialectical (DBT) and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT). I strive to foster mutual trust between myself and clients, recognizing that healing can only begin when we feel safe, heard, and accepted. My hope is that we can work together as a team to use evidence-based therapies to help you reach your goals by processing past experiences, identifying present issues and developing tools you can take with you for your future.
I earned a Masters' Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have completed my Basic Training in EMDR through an EMDRIA approved course. I am currently working towards becoming an EMDRIA Certified Therapist. I also prioritize ongoing supervision from an experienced counselling supervisor as a way to deepen my own learning and professional development, ultimately to better serve my clients.
I offer primarily online/remote counselling, but I do have limited in-person availability. I also offer 30-minute no-cost consultation sessions. I am so very grateful to be an associate of Jude Marleau and part of such an amazing collective of counsellors!
